LOGO DESIGN

Yai’s Thai is a local salsa brand, who’s name means “Grandma” (Yai). I worked at Workhorse 45, where I helped design a logo that blends a casual, customized typeface with integrated Thai cultural elements, that evokes a traditional yet contemporary feel. The agency Vermillion completed the vibrant packaging work, taking the brand to the next level.

THOUGHT PROCESS

Though my job was to contribute ideas for the logo—that’s only the name. It’s really the packaging that helps a product fly off the shelf. Kudos to Amy H. (we don’t know each other) for designing a line that compliments the look and feel of the logo; the result is a cohesive brand where the logo can live on its own, but looks great on bottles and jars too!
